Free Education Will Spur More Students To Compete Globally

A Deputy Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has asked parents to take advantage of government’s Free Senior High School programme to ensure that their children and wards get enrolled in school.

He noted that the world has become a global village and, therefore, the policy will enable more Ghanaian students to freely access quality education to help them to adequately compete globally.

Mr Oppong Nkrumah, who was speaking at the Assin South District Town Hall Meeting, said government remains committed to seeing that the policy works for the over 400 thousand students across the country.

He gave the assurance that on no grounds will any eligible student be discriminated against whilst government continues to engage all relevant stakeholders to ensure its sustainability.

The District Director of Education, Mrs. Sally Nelly Coleman urged students and parents to seek right answers from the District Education Office concerning the policy.
