The Management of the Odumaseman Senior High School in the Sunyani West District in the Brong-Ahafo Region has expressed worry about inadequate infrastructure, particularly accommodation for boarding students, describing it as an impediment to smooth operation of the school.
Illustrating this fact is a “summer hut” meant for visitors, which has been converted into a classroom.
These came up when the Assistant Headmaster, Daniel Nsiah Adobasom, interacted with myxyzonline correspondent.
Other infrastructural challenges include inadequate dormitories, library facility, store room, Visual Arts studio and dining hall.
Meanwhile, two weeks into the 2017-2018 academic year of Free SHS, Radio Ghana’s checks has revealed that the implementation of the Policy is progressing smoothly in schools visited in the Sunyani Municipality of Bono-Ahafo.
Most of the fresh students placed in schools such as Sunyani and Odumaseman SHS have been enrolled with Day students already enjoying their one hot meal a day.
