2018 U20 WWC: Ghana Gets Tough Draw

Ghana has been placed in Group A with host nation France, New Zealand and the Netherlands in this year’s Women’s Under 20 World Cup tournament.

Yusif Basigi’s side will face host France in opening Group A game on August 5 before taking on the Netherland and New Zealand in subsequent group matches.

Other African representative Nigeria were drawn alongside Haiti, China, and Germany in Group D. The tournament starts on 5th August and ends on 24th August.

Defending champions Korea DPR have been drawn against England, Mexico and Brazil, while Japan will take fight it out with USA, Paraguay and Spain for a place in the quarter-finals.

The towns of Vannes, Concarneau, Saint-Malo and Dinan/Léhon will have the pleasure of hosting the competition, which concludes on 24 August. France is also hosting the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019, when Rennes will be among the host cities.
