President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has began his three-day tour in the Brong Ahafo region today,Friday, 18 May 2018.
The President and his entourage are expected to visit nine constituencies in the region, which are the Nkoranza North, Techiman South, Techiman North, Asunafo North, Asunafo South, Asutifi South, Tano North, Sunyani East and Sunyani West.
He arrived at Busunya in the Nkoranza North district at midday to meet with the chiefs and residents.
He is being led by Lawyer Kwaku Asoma-Chermeh, the Brong Ahafo regional minister to meet the traditional leaders in the area.
Mr Akufo-Addo will later today cut the sod for the construction of a District Hospital at Nkoranza, commission a new Divisional Police Headquarters for the Techiman municipality, and also commission an administrative block for the Techiman North District at Tuobodom.
On Saturday, May 19, the President will leave Sunyani for Goaso in the the Asunafo North Municipality where he is expected to meet the chiefs in the area.
He will cut the sod for the construction of an administrative block for the Asunafo South District Assembly at Kukuom, inspect progress work on a bridge at Asumura, and commission a special ward at the St Theresh’s Hospital at Hwidiem in the Asutifi South district. He will later inspect a 68 capacity Hospital Block at Kenyasi in the Asutifi North district.
The president’s tour in the region ends on Sunday, 20th May, 2018 after he worships at the Holy Spirit Cathedral at Nkwabeng in Sunyani and cuts the sod for the construction of a 2-storey administration block for at Odumase for the Sunyani West district.
Before that he will meet with the chiefs of the Sunyani area at the regional minister’s residency before he departs to Accra.
The tour of Brong Ahafo region marks the beginning of the president’s nationwide regional tours in 2018.
