Former Foreign Affairs Minister, Hannah Tetteh has urged women to be firm and diligent in their line of duty and not to view leadership as a space for public prominence but an act of responsibility.
According to the distinguished female politician, confidence, coupled with excellence should be the hallmark of every woman in the field of leadership.
She was speaking on the Morning Xpress on Radio XYZ 93.1MHZ on the topic “Breaking the Glass Ceiling:dealing with the challenges women face in leadership and how to successfully overcome them” as part of the month-long Leading July series.
Madam Hannah Tetteh acknowledged that although men seem to have dominated in leadership, she admonished that women should not seek favors to get into position of influence stressing such act will hunt their conscience in the future.
She also asked them to rather resort to stakeholder consultations as a means of getting their ‘firm’ positions known.
This year’s Leading July Series is under the theme, Authentic Leadership.
It’s an exclusive initiative of XYZ Broadcasting Limited, owners of Radio XYZ 93.1MHZ, TV XYZ and Power 97.9 MHZ.
