A High Court in Accra, hearing the trial of former COCOBOD Chief Executive, Dr Stephen Opuni, has ordered the police investigator to produce all necessary documents the defence team is demanding within four days.
This is to ensure the hearing of the case commences smoothly on 16 July 2018.
Even though the Attorney General argued that, they have furnished the defense with all documents as ordered earlier by the Supreme Court, lawyers for Dr Opuni and one other told the court that cannot be true.
The Court presided over by Justice Clemence Honyenuga said for the case to go on without unnecessary delay, the investigator of the case is to contact all the relevant persons at COCOBOD, get details of all documents and file them at the registry of the court on or before Friday, July 13.
Dr Opuni and Business man Alhaji Agongo were sued in March this year for causing financial loss to the state.
