Double Track – 67,382 Students Not Placed; Fresh Students Resume Nov 8

Admissions of fresh students under the computerised school selection placement system (CSSPS) is out but over 60,000 students could not be placed. An official statement issued by the Ghana Education Service is however asking parents of the affected students to do what it calls ‘self-placement’ to get themselves into schools of their choice if there is vacancy.

The statement signed by Cassandra Twum Ampofo, Public Relations Director of the GES, on Tuesday said explained that a total of 67,382) qualified students could not be placed under the because they could not be matched with any of their school choices
According to the GES statement, a total of 423,134 out of 490,514 qualified candidates can now access details by buying placement forms.

Students placed on the GREEN TRACK will resume on September 11, 2018 whereas the GOLD TRACK students will resume on November 8, 2018.

The statement assured all parents whose wards could not be placed that a number of schools with vacancies have been uploaded on the portal and therefore the candidates would be able to make a choice without hitches.
It added that students with genuine concerns can visit any of the Regional Solution Centres at the Regional Education Offices to have their issues resolved.

In Accra, a Solution Centre has been set up at the Independence Square.
