Ghana Joins World To Mark International Day Of Democracy

Ghana joins the global community September 15 to mark International Day of Democracy.

This year, the UN is focusing on Democracy and conflict prevention, to draw attention to the critical need to strengthen democratic institutions to promote peace and stability, so as to create better societies for all.

Creating better societies means a collective approach to fostering resilient societies through effective and inclusive democratic governance with respect for human rights and the rule of law.

Ghana’s democracy is still considered young, but analysts have hope in its future.
