General Secretary of the Public Services Workers Union of TUC, Richard Amparbeng says his outfit is in discussion with the Media General Group, Operators of TV3 Network for severance packages for staff who are not getting their jobs back.
This follows reports that the company is laying off more than one hundred management and junior staff as a result of organisational re-structuring.
Speaking to the Current Affairs Programme “XYZ News”, Mr. Amparbeng said technological advancements such as the digital migration may have given rise to the company’s restructuring.
President of the Ghana Journalists Association, Affail Monney said the GJA will go to TV 3 to find out if the affected workers are satisfied with their severance package.
He also assured the workers of the Associations’ support.
