Gospel Musician Kofi Sarpong Is Now ‘Chief Superintendent’

Popular Ghanaian Gospel musician William Kofi Sarpong who is known in showbiz as Kofi Sarpong, is now a Chief Superintendent of Police.

His promotion from Superintendent of Police (SP)  to his current rank took effect from 1st January, 2018 after his promotion was announced in the last week of December 2017 together with some 67 Police Personnel.

“I have another star added to me since January 1,” he told Kwadwo Boateng Cosby in an interview on Zylofon FM Sunday, January 14.

The police officer, who survived a ghastly road accident last September, said he was thankful to God for his musical career since his first hit Album, Ayeyi Nnwom, was released in 2009, and also mentioned that God was the reason for his progress in life.

He further expressed his gratitude to his producers and mentioned Singer and producer Nana Sei, popularly known as Nacee for his tremendous support in his career as well as Shar, and some song writers like Akwaboah Jnr, Nana Oti, and the media fraternity that has over the years been giving him publicity.

Since his appearance in the  public domain, in 2009, Kofi Sarpong otherwise known as the King Of Borborbor has released hit albums like ‘Ayeyi Nnwom’, and ‘Hour by Hour’ which is still enjoying massive airplay across the country.
