Experienced freight forwarding company in Ghana, Sapholda Ventures Limited have increased their sponsorship package to the Greater Accra Hockey Association [GAHA] ahead of the region’s 2018 Hockey League.
With a first sponsorship of Gh20,000 in 2017, GAHA are Ghc10,000 richer after Sapholda Ventures improved last season’s financial support to Gh30,000 in 2018.
This covers Prize Money of Ghc3,000 net total, developmental funds for pitch and other logistical cost.
Speaking on behalf of Sapholda Ventures President, Adolf Tetteh Adjei, Management Consultant, Ato Coleman revealed his outfit’s belief in hockey bringing glory to Ghana.
“We think that hockey has the potential to also give us laurels like football and boxing. Therefore, we think that this is the right step to invest in the game. We are also proud to be associated with the qualification of our womens national team to the Commonwealth Games . And we think that there is the potential to even achieve more. We are doing this in line with our social corporate responsibility objectives” he said.
He added: “We believe the leadership of the Hockey Association [Greater Accra]. They have the right vision to promote the sport. There is the potential to build our relationship going forward”.
Vice President of the Greater Accra Hockey League, Derrick Tamakloe expressed his appreciation for the financial backing.
“In 2017 they decided to make it big by sponsoring the entire league. This year, once again, Sapholda have increased their support by not only sponsoring the league but the gala in addition. What else can we say to them than a very big, thank you”
This year’s sponsorship deal extends an 8 year-long relationship between GAHA and Sapholda Ventures.
