The General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu who received an overwhelming endorsement at the just ended 2018 National Delegates Conference in Koforidua has said he will adhere to his campaign promise.
Mr Boadu re-assured the rank and file of the NPP of his commitment to strengthen NPP structures, improve party-government relationship and empower hardworking grassroots for victory 2020 and beyond.
His brief statement on Sunday said “The party has once again lived up to its internal virtues of rewarding experience, hard work, competence and above all, party loyalty” …The ultimate victory in a democratic contest is derived from the inner satisfaction of knowing that you have done your best and that you have gotten the most out of what you had to give, for which you must give gratitude in order to get to the altitude”
The Party elected its national executives last Saturday July 7, 2018 at the Koforidua Technical University.
Acting party chairman Freddie Blay was elected substantive national chairman, along with John Boadu, who was elected General Secretary, and Sammi Awuku as national organiser.
Others elected to national offices were Fredrick Fredua Anto, Rita Asobayire and Michael Omari Wadie elected Vice-Chairpersons; Kate Gyamfua won the Women Organiser race; Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B) was elected Youth Organiser, and Abdul Aziz Haruna Futa as Nasara Coordinator; while Kwabena Abankwa-Yeboah retained his post as National Treasurer.
The team is expected to work hard and maximise the fortunes of the party to retain power in the 2020 general elections.
