LPG Operators Association (GLiPGOA) across the country have served notice of a nationwide strike next Monday, May 20, 2018.
They intend to suspend services in protest against the Cylinder Redistribution Module.
The action follows governments failure to act on the ultimatum issued last week.
A statement signed by the President of the LPG Operators Association, Togbui Adaku V said, following their exit from the Committee discussing the implementation plan and after several attempts at getting a hearing with the President, Nana Akufo Addo, they have concluded there is no interest to address their concerns.
Togbe Adaku V, who spoke to XYZ News says they will only rescind their decision only if government calls of the CRM implementation.
“we have been sidelined and so we have to do this,” he said.
Commenting on the latest action by the LPG Operators, the mother body, LPG Marketers Association accused the National Petroleum Authority of displaying a high level of intolerance.
