This formed part of activities ahead of the New Patriotic Party’s National Delegates Congress on July 7.
The exercise began from the Abis Park through the Manhyia Palace and ending at the starting route.
Amid brass band music to urge participants on, many of them had little idea they had covered such long distance in the almost two-hour exercise.
Participants were also screened by health personnel after the exercise.
Dignitaries who graced the occasion included a Deputy Director of the National Service and aspiring National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Boakye who describes the walk as a good exercise for all those who took part.
Member of Parliament for Manhyia South who doubles as Minister of Education, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh said the exercise was to help raise the fitness level of the constituents for the upcoming elections on July 7.
Besides, he said, it created awareness that the ruling party exists and will continue to unveil programs and policies that will benefit Ghanaians.
Napo, as he is affectionately called, was also confident that candidates who will emerge as victors in the upcoming elections will deliver.
“All the contestants are New Patriotic Party people so everyone that will win will do the work well”, he said.
