The maiden edition of Power Entertainment Show on Power 97.9FM was lit on Saturday, January 13, as some notable players in the Creative Arts industry joined the new host, Agyemang Prempeh Agyengo, on the East Legon – based radio station.

Two known Music Producers, Fred Kyei Mensah and Nana Sei (Nacee),  Popular gospel artiste Empress Gifty Osei, Movie director and PRO for Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG) Ola Michael took the show to another level as they discussed issues pertaining to the entertainment space of the country.

The programme could not have been successful without the say-it-as-it-is panel, Sally Frimpong and Kwame Ansong.

As a curtain-raiser,  Agyengo, as usual, was able to bond well with his listeners, majority of whom had followed him to Power FM from Rainbow where he left a week ago.

The stories, the controversial statements, the raw questions and the thrill were abound on the show,  sending signals that Power Entertainment is poised to blossom in the national capital.

From the beginning of the programme at 4PM till it ended at 7:30PM,  social media went agog with comments asking how solid the show had been despite it being a maiden edition.

Among the many commentators on Social media was a renowned Entertainment pundit and critic, Halifax Ansah Addo, who openly expressed his love for the show.

“Agyemang Prempeh Agyengo Asking Killer Questions On Power 97.9 FM. Lets Tune in,” Halifax,  who is also the Editor- in-Chief of The Publisher Newspaper, wrote on his Facebook wall.

Agyemang Nie, as his fans call him,  is also the host of Power Drive, the Station’s late afternoon music show which runs from 3-6PM every Monday to Friday.
