amuel Dzamesi, 23, has been arrested by police in the Awutu Breku District of the Central Region for allegedly digging graves at the Fetteh Kakraba Cemetery to collect human skulls, bones and other parts for rituals.
The suspect was apprehended on Saturday, 18 August 2018 by Rashid Wahilu and Isaac Baiden, who are caretakers at the cemetery.
According to Rashid Wahilu, he saw the suspect with a brown bag on his way from the cemetery. Suspecting the movements of Dzamesi, the caretaker at the cemetery called his colleague, Baiden.
The two, confronted the suspect and upon questioning he confessed to digging one of the tombs for the parts.
He was then handed over to the police.
Meanwhile, the District Police Commander for Gomoa, DSP Johnson Jessey, has confirmed the incident and explained that investigations have begun into the matter.
