ACP Tiwaa Addo-Danquah has claimed that the audio on her speaking to Kwame A Plus has some parts doctored to tarnish her image.

In the audio, the female police officer is heard advising the musician to withdraw some charges brought against two deputy Chiefs of Staff, deny the allegations because he is a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Kwame A Plus has denied he leaked the tape and the Deputy Police CID, ACP Maame Yaay Tiwaa Addo-Danquah says the audio recording of the conversation with the pro-NPP musician has been doctored to achieve an evil purpose.

Listen to audio:

The leaked tape has brought the image of the entire Police Service into disrepute as some believe it has exposed the cover-up work they did. Critics say for a whole deputy Police CID boss to be seen struggling to redeem her image while Kwame A Plus walks free after the grievous allegations against the two deputy Chiefs of Staff exposes how politics is weakening institutions.

The two deputy Chiefs of Staff who have been in the news for some weeks now because of serious allegations of corruption leveled against them are considering a civil suit against Kwame Asare Obeng, also known as “A Plus”.

One of the two, Samuel Abu Jinapor who gave the hint when he spoke to Accra based JOY FM this morning, insisted he never forced the Chief Executive, of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Dr Felix Anyah, to give back a revenue-collection contract to UNIBank.

Though the Police CID has issued a statement exonerating them, a leaked tape of a conversation between Kwame A Plus and the deputy Police CID boss is raising suspicions of a possible cover-up.

Mr Jinapor maintained that he and his colleague, Francis Asenso-Boakye are clean and have not taken any money from UNIBank.

The deputy Chief declined to give details on issues that came up when he was invited by the Police CID but said his interrogation lasted barely two and a half hours. He also commented on the leaked tape.

“The police has come out to categorically discredit the tape to say that it is dotted. Following the leak, there have been vindications. I have no reason to disbelief the police. However, when you listen to the tape and the commissioner herself attest to it, in the tape it is said tomorrow the dep chief of staff will appear. this conversation took place before the police spoke to us and we are being told that . the content of the tape proofs we are corrupt. It is so fundamental principle of law that you cannot pronounce a man guilty unless you hear from him. At the time this so called conclusion had been pronounced, we had not been spoken to”, he said.

Mr Jinapor who will not say when the Civil suit will be filed in Court also said he feels focused and believes his integrity is intact.
