The 7th Parliament of the 4th Republic is set to resume sitting tomorrow for the third meeting after a two-month break.
The MPs who are expected to report on Tuesday October 3 will be under pressure to pass a number of bills including the much trumpeted Office of the Special Prosecutors Bill.
Majority Leader and Minister for Parliamentary Business, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu told XYZ News, other key issues to be discussed include the Development Authority Bills requested by the President.
He said the committees that were asked to work on the issues would submit a report to the parliament tomorrow.
“Other matters we will be pursuing includes the creation of the development authority. You would recall that the president indicated to create three development authorities: the northern development, the middle belt development and coastal development authorities the proposals have come to parliament. The other major thing is also the creation Office of the Special Prosecutor which is also referred to the appropriate committee. They are also working on it. So I want to believe that by Tuesday when we have returned, the committees would have submitted their reports and the parliament will take it from there.”
