The Agogo Youth Association has called on government to as a matter of urgency to implement the court orders to crack down the activities of Fulani herdsmen in Agogoland or resort to a demonstration.
According to the group this perennial problem is causing the same amount of damage to farmlands and food crops as the operations of illegal mining is doing in other parts of the country.
Speaking with XYZ News, secretary of Agogo Youth Mr Alfred Gyimah said they’ll be extremely disappointed in this current administration and would resort to demonstrate against it.
“This government should declare war against the activities of these nomads…there is an earlier court order awaiting implementation,it should deal with them as he is dealing with the galamsey menace…” he said.
“We’re tired of promises because politicians fail to fulfill their promises to us. We’re closely monitoring how this government would solve this problem”,he added.
Then candidate Nana Akufo-Addo assured residents of farming communities that “an NPP government will ensure that this Fulani menace is ended once and for all”.
