The Public Accounts Committee has given the National Sports Authority a one-month ultimatum to provide documents to support expenses not unaccounted for.
Chairman of the Committee, James Klutse Avedzi, gave this directive today when the Accountant for the Sports Authority struggled for answers to questions claiming his inability to provide full details of monies disbursed was because some defaulters had died.
His responses angered the Public Accounts Committee whose Chairman issued the ultimatum with accompanying sanctions.
Mr Avedzi also advised the Acting Director for the Authority, Robert Sarfo Mensah, to ensure efficient use of funds generated.
He asked the Director of the Auditor General to follow-up on the monies disbursed.
