Blackstar B: Maxwell Konadu Hints At Possible Blackstars Call Ups

Black stars B head coach, Maxwell Konadu has hinted at possible call ups for his players into the Main Black Stars.
The local stars thumped Nigeria 4-1 in Sunday’s grand finale of the 2017 WAFU cup of nations at the cape coast sports stadium to retain the sub-regional tournament trophy.
‘‘The head coach of the Blackstars was here himself. We have been reporting every game we play to him. He has received all the analysis already but we will still brief him as to how the players were shifted here and there to fit in our game plan. Once he was here himself to see what the boys can do, it will be easier for us when we try to recommend player a or player b to him’’ he said.
With WAFA midfielder Gideon Waja being the only locally based player in the last Black stars call up Maxwell Konadu is optimistic of more call ups.
‘‘Already some have tasted Blackstars already and it won’t be difficult for them to go back there. I think that most of them can go to the senior national team.’’
Kwesi Appiah is expected to name his squad for World Cup qualifiers later this week with some big names expected to be left out of the team.
