Gospel sensation Diana Antwi Hamilton says she owns everything she has to God, adding that the overwhelming outpour of love on her is by the grace of God.
The Adom hitmaker was adjudged the Artist of the year at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. She acknowledges that she won the award because of the love Ghanaians have for her.
In an interview on Power FM’s midmorning show hosted by Agyeman Prempeh (Agyengo), Diana said God has been God.
“I have lived my whole life serving God,” she said and indicated that she appreciates the love from Ghanaians who support her ministry.
Asked if she knew about the love, the Yehowa bɛhwɛ composer confirmed and said “ɛyɛ adom [by God’s grace].”
She said despite the love from Ghanaians, especially the members of the Church of Pentecost, her family has been very supportive and there is no way she could get where she is now without their buttress.
“If we say a support system, my family has been such a support system for me,” Hamilton told host Agyeman Nie who had placed a surprise phone call to Diana’s mom in London to speak to her daughter.
Her joyous mother took the opportunity to bless her daughter and urged her to be steadfast in Christ and keep being good.
“Mummy, God bless you and your handiworks forever. May God continue to direct your steps all the time. Continue to love God and serve him. All things will be well with you,” Madam Comfort told her daughter.
Diana who was weeping expressed her gratitude to Ghanaians and the Church of Pentecost for the love shown her all this while.
Diana Hamilton also became the second woman to win the Artiste of the Year after Ebony and the first female Gospel artiste to do so.
It was a great night for Diana as she picked up three other awards on the night; Vodafone Most Popular Song of the Year, Gospel Artiste of the Year and Gospel Song of the Year.
She expressed her gratitude to her family, her fans, her management and everyone who had supported her.

She has stayed away from controversies. Although journalists try to poke their nose into her private affairs, she guards her reputation with all her might.
It is, however, not surprising that she is loved by thousands of music lovers.
