16 pillow fighters undergo training

Sixteen (16) athletes who will compete in the first ever public competitive pillow fights have undergone training ahead of the event.
They were trained by officials of PFC Ghana at the premises of Dreamland Sports Plus in Bubuashie, Accra.
The trainees, both males and females were taken through the rules and regulations of the new sport discipline and promised to come out with good performances.
The competition is slated for July 10 at the Odorkor Official Town Market.
Miss Sarah Awuni, Secretary at Dreamland Sports Plus who spearheaded the training urged the athletes to be disciplined and comport themselves before, during and after the matches.
She said the new sport is in Ghana to add to sports and leisure activities and also make participants earn some money.
She appealed cooperate Ghana to support the exciting sport which has emerged in the USA and Canada.
Currently, Ghana is the first African country to organize a competitive competition in such discipline.
She thanked American Stephen Williams who is the president of the world body controlling pillow fighting and the CEO of Dreamland Sports Plus, Mr. Emmanuel Olla Williams for their support.
Showing appreciation to the media for the coverage, Madam Awuni also encouraged the press to be interested in the newly introduced game.
