President Nana Akufo-Addo has asked Auditor-General Daniel Yao Domelovo to retire, following a new information that the latter altered his date of birth.
The President through hos secretary, Nana Bediatuo wrote to Mr Domelovo asking him to retire, saying the documents indicate that his retirement was due in June last month.
Mr Johnson Ackuamoa Asiedu will continue to act as Auditor-General, the letter stated.
The development comes afterr President Akufo-Addo asked the Auditor General to take his accumulated leave of 123 days prior to the 2020 elections.
Domelovo resumed work today, March 3, 2021 only to be informed by the Audit Service Board that he forged documents that reduced his age by a year.
