Akufo-Addo’s part of the criminal syndicate at Jubilee House – Martin Kpebu fires

Private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu has lashed out at President Nana Akufo-Addo over the heightening corruption in the country.

He said the impunity in the NPP administration was high and accused the president of  being involved in corruption and its related activities reported during his tenure.

According to him, a recent brewing issue of an alleged signature forgery in a ¢10 million case at the Northern Development Authority (NDA) has been left unattended to, although it has been widely reported in the media.

“I think so far the President, probably, hasn’t heard; maybe, we need to repeat it more forcefully for him to hear that he is part of the criminal syndicates at the Jubilee House – the President is certainly part, ” Kpebu stated on Joy FM’s News File programme.

He argued the NDA scandal forms part of a tall list of corruption cases that fell on the President’s desk only to be swept under the carpet.

The vociferous lawyer has recently called for the resignation of Akufo-Addo for performing abysmally in almost all the sectors of governance.

The disappointed lawyer argued that President Akufo-Addo, despite promises he made to Ghanaians in the run up to the 2016 elections, has demonstrated “an abysmal failure” in fighting bribery and corruption in his own government.

At a recent forum organised by pressure group Arise Ghana in Accra, the human rights lawyer said “Akufo-Addo must resign” and cited hunger in the country fuelled by high inflation and reckless borrowing which is collapsing the economy.
