Ashanti Region: GES Commences Investigations Into Sex Scandals In Senior High Schools

The Ghana Education Service in the Ashanti Region has commenced investigations into the alleged sexual exploit of female students by male teachers in Senior High Schools.

Two teachers from Kumasi High School and St. Louis High School have been interdicted for allegedly exploiting female students of the schools.

In an interview with Kwame Minkah, host of “Ghana Te Sen” on Radio XYZ, Public Relations Officer of the Ashanti Regional branch of the GES, Mark Ofori urged Ghanaians to be patient with the work of the committee that has been formed to investigate the saga. He indicates the committee comprises members from GNAT, NAGRAT, TEWU as well as several other stakeholders whose credibility in conducting such investigations is not in doubt.

Mr Ofori reiterated the GES’ resolve to apply appropriate sanctions to persons who may be found guilty in accordance with the committee’s findings.
