Blaqbonez names his top 3 Ghanaian rappers

Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, known professionally as Blaqbonez says his top 3 Ghanaian rappers are Sarkodie, Manifest and Kwesi Arthur.

Blaqbonez signed to 100 Crowns, which is an imprint of Chocolate City. In 2019, he was profiled by The New York Times as one of the new guards of Nigerian music.

In an interview on X Zone on TV XYZ, the fast-rising artiste was made to mention his top 3 Ghanaian rappers.

Initially he mentioned Sarkodie, Manifest and Yaw Tog but out of respect and seniority he replaced Yaw Tog with Kwesi Arthur.

“Umm.. hmm.. okay I think Sarkodie, Manifest and then the new kid Yaw Tog,” he told host JKD.

“There are so many artists in the general scene  there’s Stonebwoy, there’s Shattawale, Kidi I was in the studio with Kidi yesterday .. yeah I have a song with Kwesi Arthur and ummm Kuami Eugene already that’s coming out soon, so there are so many artistes you know,”he added.

He continued, “I just realized I didn’t put Kwesi Arthur in my top 3 rappers in Ghana and so put him so where… Based on out of respect let’s replace Yaw Tog with Kwesi Arthur.”

Blaq is widely known for his controversial self-proclaimed status as the “Best Rapper in Africa” abbreviated as “BRIA”  which became the most talked about topic in the Nigerian hip hop space between July and September 2019.
