Boy killed by 2 teenagers for rituals to be buried today

The 11-year old boy who was painfully killed by his playmates for money rituals will be buried this morning in line with Muslim tradition.

The deceased, only identified as Ishmael, was found dead in an uncompleted building at Kasoa Lamptey in the same Municipality last weekend.

The two, Felix Nyarko Anane and Nicholas Kini who were later arrested for their role in the murder of the eleven year old.

They are standing trial for the alleged ritual killing and  have been remanded in police custody by an Ofaakor District Court.

The court presided over by her worship Rosemond Vera Ocloo on Tuesday April 6 granted an appeal by the police to carry out further investigations into the matter.

The accused are to reappear in court on April 20, 2021

Public sympathy towards the family of the deceased over the painful loss of their 11 year  old son, is growing as more revelations suggest the excruciating pain the victim was subjected to.

Public anger is now directed at the National Media Commission after preliminary investigations suggest the Kasoa teen ‘ritual murderers’ were influenced by TV ritualists; first planned kidnapping boy for GH¢5K ransom.

Yesterday, Central regional Minister, Jestina Marigold Hassan who led a team to commiserate with the late lshmeal’s family called for swift and thorough investigations to ensure all actors suffer the consequences.

The Minister was accompanied by the MCE for the area, Michael Amssuang Mensah, the regional Police Commander and other security capos,

Mr Mensah, who is the MCE for the Ewutu Senya East who also spoke raised concern about the increasing crime wave and called for collaborative effort to weed out criminals in the area.
