Mr. Mustapha Hamid, Minister for the Inner City and Zongo Development, has threatened to deal with the Multimedia Authorities.
In reaction to a video seen on Adom TV on Tuesday night, Mustapha Hamid made this statement, allegedly catching the bribe of President Nana Akufo-Addo.
NDC National Communication Officer Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi showed a documentary by Salis Newspaper on NDC’s weekly campaign program dubbed Nokor3 mmer3 on Adom TV.
In the company of one Hajia Fawzia and another gentleman, identified as Suale, the tape captured Ghana’s ambassador to the United States, Dr. Adjei Bawuah.
According to the video sources, the two had met with President Akufo-Addo at his residence in Nima to discuss the application for dismissal of Alhaji Abass, the director of Urban Road, and Hajia Fawzia’s husband.
On behalf of Alhaji Abass, President Akufo-Addo was seen in the video receiving $40,000 in a brown envelope from Dr. Adjei Bawuah.
But Mustapha Hamid, responding to this in a press conference, described the tape as fake. “They even dared to play it on a television station yesterday.”
“He threatened, “We’re going after that TV station.
“I’m sending a notice to that TV station showing the fake video.” He described the President of Ghana as defamatory.
It was immoral and it was unprofessional,” he stressed, “and we will not take it lying down.
