Castro and Janet Bandu declared dead

Ghanaian hiplife musician Theophilus Tagoe, popularly known as Castro and his friend Janet Bandu can be termed as dead from today onwards.

7 years ago, Castro disappeared with Janet Bandu at the Ada Estuary whiles on holiday.

While the jet ski involved in the accident was recovered on the same day of their disappearance, their bodies were not, despite a search by the police. The pair remain missing to date.

According to The Evidence Act of 1975, Section 33, a person can only be declared legally dead after seven years by a court, where the person in question has not been seen or heard from in seven years despite diligent and persistent efforts to find him.

However, Castro’s parent strongly believe in their son’s return.

But it appears their belief won’t stop the state from legally declaring the duo dead under the constitution of Ghana.
