Reward system motivates employees – HR Practitioner

An HR practitioner Ebenezer Kojo Quaquah has advised business owners to check their reward system if they want to motivate their employees.

According to the Hr, aside money business owners can reward their employees in through other incentives.

‘’When you want to motivate employees you have to check your reward system your total reward things you give to your employees apart from money. It’s your reward system very competitive’’, he said

In an interview with Ama Pomaa Kyekyeku on Tontonsansan, Mr Quaquah revealed that, workers do not compare themselves to their colleagues but rather, others outside the organization.

” If you want to motivate your employee, you have to check your reward system. The total reward, apart from money and other incentives what other things do you give to your employees.  Is your reward system very competitive”.

Besides, employees compare among themselves and to others outside the organization.

”Employees do not only compare themselves but to others in similar organization out there. Does our reward system fulfill the internal and external equity”? He added


” Every employee spend at least 8hours a day at a work. A culture is a way of life, does your system and culture help motivate employees? Does it facilitate collaboration? Does it facilitate team work? Absence of these things does not help employee to give out their best” .

”’ Culture is very important. If you don’t find peace at your organization, you can’t give out your best. Let try to maintain our organizational culture”
