Chinese man arrested for slashing throat of Ghanaian faces Court today

Chinese national, identified as Xue Hue, who allegedly attacked a Ghanaian employee with a knife yesterday will be arraigned before Court today, September 30, 222.

Ghanaians were incensed when the news headlined ‘Chinese man slashes throat of Ghanaian’ went viral.

Witnesses claim the incident happened during a protest by over 80 workers demanding their salaries from a construction company erecting structures close to the apartments of the Ghana Navy flats at Kweikuma, a suburb of Takoradi.

“Preliminary investigation according to a Police statement, said the suspect, Xue Hue, inflicted cut on the neck of the victim, Isaac Boateng a machine operator.

According to the Police, the victim has been treated and discharged by the Effia-Nkwanta Teaching Hospital.

The suspect was detained last night and is expected to be arraigned before Court today.

Hue has been charged for “using an offensive weapon to cause harm to his Ghanaian co-worker at a construction site.

Military and Police officers have since been deployed to protect for protection while the company has since commenced the payment of the outstanding salaries.
