Companies refusing to invest in Gospel musicians – Joe Mettle

Gospel musician Joe Mettle has complained bitterly on how companies have refused to invest in Gospel musicians.

According to Joe Mettle, Gospel musicians over the years have not been able to hold up to their brand and craft because companies do not invest in them.

The Gospel Artiste of the year lamented that due to their religious connection it makes it difficult for companies to sponsor them.

“I think the religious connections make it difficult for them to sponsor. There are people who will not even look at your proposal just because its from a Christian,” he stressed.

He claimed that what the companies have not realized is that, Gospel musicians indeed have what they are looking for especially when it comes to numbers and holding bigger events across the country.

Joseph Oscar Nii Armah Mettle, recognised by his stage name Joe Mettle, is a Ghanaian gospel singer and songwriter. On April 8, 2017, he made history by being the first Gospel musician to win the coveted Artist of the year award at the 2017 Ghana Music Awards.
