Ghana’s foremost life assurance company, Enterprise Life, has signed gospel music superstar Diana Hamilton and multiple award-winning hiplife artiste, Kofi Kinaata, as its brand ambassadors.
Speaking on Power Entertainment on Power 97.9 FM, hosted by Agyemang Prempeh, the gospel sensation reacted to comments she had received from people on the deal and her duty as a brand ambassador.
‘’One ordinary day, I had a call from a gentleman whom I haven’t met before.. I was in London then and he said Enterprise was looking for me to be a brand ambassador. Mostly we get a lot of those, some come through, others don’t, but we are just glad this has come through and I happen to be on it with Kofi Kinaata,” she said.
There has been a debate on whether or not it is right for gospel artistes to collaborate with secular artistes in songs.
A picture both musicians took together after signing the deal raised eyebrows on social media as many thought the duo had done a song together.
Diana said some Ghanaians criticized her based on the photograph and some also praised her.
‘’Two schools of thoughts… Ah, this person you are collaborating with you’ve done well. Others too said ah is it intentional are you sure you are not going off guard? Sister are you Okay’’ she recounted.
When asked by the host if the deal comes with money, she admitted it does but also with a lot of responsibilities.
“As a Christian gospel artist as much as we look for the spiritual well-being of our listeners; those who are supporting us; those praying for us; those who listen to our songs and say it blesses them, it’s very important their physical and family needs are being sorted out that way,” Hamilton noted.
She added that she has been approached with a lot of deals but she always cross-checks with her Bible to see if they in line with Christian principles before she makes a move.
