Ghanaian actor and politician John Dumelo has entreated with the IGP George Akuffo Dampare not to sack the police officer captured on camera in a perceived drunken state after a report of him being interdicted came out.
The video of the policeman which has gone viral was posted on social media.
According to the police, a clinical psychologist has been tasked to evaluate the said policeman and offer him the necessary support.
The Ghana police administration in a statement said the officer will be referred to the Police Medical Board for thorough review and support toward rehabilitation where necessary.
John Dumelo reacting to the letter showing the said police officer has been indicted pleaded with the IGP not to sack him as he’s sure they can resolve his problem in the house after the investigation has been carried out.
“Dear IGP, please don’t sack the said officer. I’m sure we can resolve his problem in house. Thanks sir. ????????”, John tweeted
