There will be power interruption in some parts of Accra for 22-days beginning Monday, June 28 to July 19, 2021, the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), has announced.
The state power distributor said the power cuts would help facilitate the work of contractors who are working on various projects to improve power supply reliability and system voltages.
“In this regard, load to the Trasacco Bulk Supply Point (BSP) will be managed to enable the construction of towers at the Volta, Accra East, and Achimota substations and to complete the stringing and commissioning of a new double-circuit 161 kV Volta-Achimota transmission line,” a statement from ECG said.
The power interruption, according to the ECG, is scheduled for peak load hours between the hours of 6.00 pm and 12midnight to see to the upgrading of the Volta-Achimota-Mallam transmission lines.
