
Wasa Nyankonton chief Fameye has revealed that he’s suspending his holidays in Holland to commiserate Appiatse residents.
According to the “nothing I get hitmaker”, he’s received several calls from the youth in the affected area and there’s a need to return back home from Holland.
“I’m coming to Ghana because I’ve received many calls from the youth in the affected area. The youth installed me as a chief and I need to be there for them”, he said.
He also disclosed what he will do to help.
“Musically, I will do my bit, so, the government can see and also do its part to help the community. They [government] must give the affected residents the assistance they need and I know the neighbouring towns will also come to their aide,” he added.
Fameye, who hails from Bogoso, is taking this decision following the explosion at Bogoso – Appiatse that has killed about 17 people and injured others on Thursday.
Nevertheless, he was honoured by the chiefs and people of Wassa with a chieftaincy title conferred on him on Saturday, October 30, 2021.
The sensational singer, was enstooled as a chief by the chiefs and traditional rulers of Wassa.
