Former Managing Director of Accra Hearts of Oak, Neil-Armstrong Mortagbe, has lauded his former club’s appointment of Mark Noonan as C.E.O.
Noonan was introduced to the playing body last Wednesday at the club’s training ground at Legon Ajax Park and a dinner party was organized to welcome him at the Executive Board Chairman,Togbe Afede XIV’s residence last Friday.
Mark Noonan has been handed a three-year contract to change the fortunes of the club.
But former Managing Director of the Phobians has commended the club for taking such step.
”I hereby lend my small contribution to the conversation. . .The appointment of Mark Noonan, on the strength of what I have read about him, should give hope to Phobians who desire to see an upturn in the club’s fortunes.
“Yes, he cannot do the job alone but with the support of all stakeholders, quality players and a Technical setup that works with determined focus, I believe Mark Noonan would be successful.
“I commend the Board of Directors for taking this step and pray for its success. I urge all supporters to give Mr. Noonan full support as we all look forward to brighter times for Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak.
“May the appointment of Mark Noonan mark the beginning of a brand new era for our darling club. ”
He also urged the club’s stakeholders to rally their support begin Mark Noonan to succeed.
“Let us all join together to rekindle the “Never Say Die” spirit which has seen us surmount great challenges over the more than 100 years of our history as a club and which shall surely see us through our next 100 years.’’
Mark Noonan becomes the club’s fifth managing Director for the past seven years after Fred Crenstil, Neil Armstrong Mortagbe, Gerald Ankrah and Vincent Sowah-Odotei.
