A Policy and Communications Analyst at the Presidency, Louise Carol Serwaa Donkor, has been suspended for 30 days following some comments she made on social media that have been termed as “unsavoury.”
Her suspension which takes effect from June 13, 2018 was triggered by her comments that reportedly denigrated footsoldiers.
Her comment read: “You shouldn’t. You can’t reason with them. It’s like tribalist.”
Her assertions sparked controversies in the country and made footsoldiers in her party, the New Patriotic party (NPP), demand for her dismissal.
A notice from the Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, on Tuesday June 12, to the Special Advisor to the President on SDGs, Eugene Owusu, directed that Dr. Donkor be suspended for comments the comments that “sought to disparage a section of the Ghanaian society.”
The Chief of Staff who described the conduct as “unacceptable” ordered Dr Donkor to ” to render, in writing, an unconditional apology and commit to good behavior.”
