The member of parliament for the North Tongu constituency, Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwah has admonished Ghanaians to get involved and get counted in the ongoing 2021 Population and Housing Census. The law maker in a Facebook post added that, the data will be used for scientific evidence-based development.
He stated this in a Facebook post below.
“Was great observing census midnight with you all in our beloved constituency.
I humbly urge everyone to cooperate with census officials so we can have credible data for scientific evidence-based development.
We wish our patriotic enumerators the very best.
Ghana first! “
The 2021 PHC is slated to take place on the 28th June 2021. The night preceding this day is the census night where people who are none residential were counted at their respective places of abode. Those who were counted on the census night included, those at hotels, travelers, hawkers, etc.
The Census Night which according to the Ghana Statistical Service will be the reference point for all information to be collected on the population and mark the beginning of the enumeration phase of the 2021 Census exercise.
