
Ghana beat Central African Republic 2-1 to qualify for the 2023 AFCON at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Mohammed Kudus put Ghana on level terms after Louis Mafouta took the lead for CAR before Ernest Nuamah slotted home to win the game for Ghana.
Central African Republic broke the deadlock through Louis Mafouta on the 25 minutes to set the pace in the game for his side.
But on the 43rd minute Mohammed Kudus responded for Ghana after perfectly converting a freekick from 20 yards.
The first half ended as both teams searched for the lead but the game ended draw in the first half.
The second half resumed with Blackstars dominating possession in seek for the winner.
But the resolute CAR remained solid to thwart every threat from Ghana
The Blackstars kept pilling pressure on the CAR as Antoine Samenyo’s pass located Ernest Nuamah to coolly slot home to get the winner on 88 minutes.
The result means Ghana have qualified for the 2023 AFCON 2023 African Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire with 12 points from six games to top Group E.
