Gold, Silver, and Bronze medalist, Nadia Eke will lead Ghana as they display their rich culture in Japan on July 23rd when the Multi-Sports event commences.
6 runners, 3 boxers, 1 judoka, and 1 weightlifter will represent Ghana respectively in this year’s Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
This will be Ghana’s eighteenth time appearing at the Summer Olympics. Ghana has won Silver and 3 Bronze medals making it 4 in total ever since her first appearance.
206 nations and 11,091 athletes are expected in the Olympic Games this year.
The Games will feature 339 events in 33 different sports, encompassing 50 disciplines.
There will be fifteen new events within the existing sports including 3×3 basketball, freestyle BMX, and Madison cycling.
There will also be new mixed events in several sports.
