Ghanaian highlife artist Ofori Amponsah has urged fellow Ghanaians to redirect their focus from commemorating the deceased to celebrating the living.
Speaking on the Onua Showtime show with Nana Ama Mcbrown, he emphasized the importance of extending support and assistance to others during their lifetime instead of waiting until after their passing.
Expressing his personal perspective, Ofori Amponsah revealed his aversion to attending funerals and stressed his belief in celebrating the living. He questioned the behavior of individuals who withhold assistance during someone’s life but suddenly contribute large sums of money for their funeral expenses. He emphasized the need to offer a helping hand and demonstrate kindness to others in the present moment.
Ofori Amponsah encouraged a culture of celebrating and supporting one another while still alive, emphasizing the significance of appreciating and assisting individuals during their lifetime.
