I am not begging for money; all I want is a job – Fred Amugi to critics

Ghanaian veteran actor, Fred Amugi, has hit at critics who have labeled him a ‘beggar’ following his public appeal to be captured on a billboard as a brand ambassador.

Speaking in an interview with Mr Sammy on Power Entertainment on Power979fm and Tv XYZ, the veteran actor clarified that he’s not begging for money rather he wants to work with brand as an influencer.


“One wish I’d want to have for my 74th birthday is to see myself on a billboard as a brand ambassador. I wouldn’t want to die before I am mounted on a billboard, where I wouldn’t see what is being done for me. I’m prepared to be a brand ambassador for your products. Use me whiles I’m alive and not when I’m dead and gone,” he appealed to brands in a viral video.”

Earlier, Fred Amugi publicly disclosed his 74th birthday wish, which is, to be captured on a billboard, advertising for brands before he dies.

Fred Amugi noted that seeing his face on a huge billboard mounted on vantage points of the country would be a significant achievement and a reminder of his immense contribution to the Creative Arts industry.

The actor who was emotional while talking about receiving his flowers before his demise stated “one wish I would love to have for my 74th birthday is to see myself on billboards as a brand ambassador. I wouldn’t want to die before I’m mounted on billboards when I wouldn’t see what corporate Ghana did for me.”

“So, corporate Ghana, here I am, I’m prepared to be a brand ambassador for your products. Use me when I’m alive, not when I am dead and gone,” he said.
