‘I was denied buses for my tourism project because of my affiliation with TV XYZ’- Kwame Boadu Ansong

Tourism enthusiast Kwame Boadu- Ansong has bemoaned how state agencies refused to grant him access to state buses for his upcoming tourism event.

The project dubbed ‘Night life in Ghana’ is to offer a platform to Ghanaians who want to tour some parts of the country to know the night activities of those areas.

The nature of the tour demands that the organisers rent state buses to facilitate the project but Boadu-Ansong who hosts  ‘Tourism Education’, a segment on Power Entertainment which airs on TV XYZ and Power FM, said he was denied access to the buses anytime he went searching for them.

“They denied me because the project will be aired on TV XYZ and Power FM,” he stated.

“3months ago, I revealed that we will be starting a program dubbed night life in Ghana but because of partisan issues, whenever we go in search of transport partners we would be denied. And these are buses we are paying for,” he cried.

Speaking with Agyemang Prempeh on Power Entertainment, the pundit revealed he was always told “you have a brilliant idea but we can’t help you because of your affiliation to TV XYZ and Power FM.”

The XYZ brand is perceived to be affiliated to the opposition NDC.

Boadu-Ansong believes the perception has negatively affected the project, saying “they just look at us and say because of the station we’ve partnered with they can’t help. That’s the problem we are facing.”

“The kind of buses we need has to do with the government . I went for one of the meetings and they called in an Assembly Member only for him to reject the contract because it will be aired on TV XYZ”
