Energy expert and presidential hopeful for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has said the Minister for Trades and industry, Alan Kyerematen is not popular than him in the flagbearership race.
Alan and Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia are the popular persons tipped to win the slot and lead the NPP into election 2024.
Barely 2 weeks ago, thousands of people turned out at the ‘Aduru woso health walk’ in Kumasi organised by some supporters of Alan Kyerematen.
People massed the streets of Kumasi and held placards endorsing the Trades Minister to succeed Nana Akufo-Addo and possibly break the 8 year jinx.
Experts have said the walk was a clear endorsement of popularity of Mr. Kyerematen, but speaking on Dwaboase on TV XYZ, Kwadwo Poku stated that Alan was not that popular.
“I, Kwadwo Nsafoah Poku, will pull a huge crowd than Alan in Kumasi,” he told Kwame Minkah.
Asked how, he said he is from the region and knows what he is talking about, adding “the people were bussed” to support Alan’s walk.
