I’m not a journalist; the ones we have in Ghana are thieves – Okatakyie alleges

Renowned broadcaster and chief of the Agona Oyoko family, Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah, has descended heavily on Ghanaian journalists who use their roles to take advantage of people in power.

“I don’t want to be part of journalism in this country. Don’t call me one…I am an activist; straight activist and that is why I fight for the ordinary people,” the firebrand broadcaster said.

“I am not a journalist and I keep telling you that all the time. From my days at Happy FM, I’ve reiterated I cannot be a journalist because I am not a thief. Journalists in Ghana are thieves; they use their minds and extort from politicians and do their bidding all the time,” Okatakyie alleged on his programme, Abranaa So on TV XYZ.

Although he did not mention any name, he pointed out how some persons in the media have used their role to deceive a lot of people in the country.

Below is his programme.
