The Italian senior national team won their 2nd Euro league on Sunday after beating England on Penalties after 1-1 draw at full-time.
In the 2nd minute, Luke Shaw snamged in a shot from a cross from Kieran Trippier, making it 1-0 in favor of England before the 2nd half. Leonardo Bonucci also striked one back for the Azzurri in the 67th minute making it 1-1 at full-time.
As the match entered extra time, there wasn’t many chances and nobody was able to break the deadlock, the match went straight to penalties.
Andrea Belloti and Jorginho’s penalties were saved by England shot-stopper, Jordan Pickford.
Rashford and Sancho were also brought late into the game to take penalties but also missed on the spot. Donnarumma then saved Saka’s penalty to crown Italy as the European Champions.
The Italians are now on 38 game unbeaten streak.
