PRESIDENT-ELECT Joe Biden fears that more people will die” if Donald Trump and his administration struggle to communicate properly with his transition team.
Mr. Biden is expected to begin his presidency on January 20, but preparations have already begun for coronavirus relief, national security, and vaccine plans.
Mr. Trump has so far refused to recognize the results of the presidential election this month despite a universal appeal for his opponent’s support.
Fears are growing that a change in power from one government to another will be anything but smooth, and Biden warns that if that’s the case, there will be dire consequences.
“If we don’t organize, more people will die,” Biden told reporters.
The President-Elect and his aides emphasized the importance of being briefed on the attempts of the White House to monitor the Covid-19 situation, as well as plans to administer future vaccines, provided that the administration of Biden will be in charge of it soon, but nothing of the kind has happened yet.
Trump appears to refuse to recognize the election and has repeatedly indicated that he intends to bring allegations of voter fraud to the Supreme Court to contest the results.
However, Mr. Trump and his team have not yet presented any substantial evidence of electoral foul play.
