John Mahama Losing Grip In NDC-ASEPA

A research conducted by policy Think Tank, Alliance for Social Equity and Public Accountability (ASEPA) indicates that, former President and 2020 Presidential hopeful of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama is fast losing his control and influence in the party.

The research which sampled views of party branch executives across the country reveals that, within the party’s internal elections, many respondents indicated they voted against candidates who were associated with John Dramani Mahama. Executive Secretary of ASEPA, Mensah Thompson who spoke on “Ghana Te Sen” with host Kwame Minkah contends that, based on their findings, it is safe to conclude that John Mahama is losing his control in the party.

He however observed that candidate Mahama is tipped to win the party’s Presidential race as many responded “yes” in that regard. However, this wouldn’t be by a landslide margin as candidates Alban Bagbin, Spio Gabrah et al have all worked to erode some of his votes.

Spokesperson for Alban Bagbin 2020 campaign team, Isaac Kpogeh who also spoke on the show reiterated their preparedness to work hard to gunner votes from the remaining loyal voters of former President Mahama to ensure a win for the second deputy speaker of Parliament.

Member of Parliament for Bongo, Edward Bawa, while commending the research done also contends he is of the strongest conviction that candidate Mahama Will get not less than 90% of the entire vote.
